Mobile computing is the flavour of the month (check out the recent article in the NZ Herald) with an initial October release scheduled, and ongoing functionality releases to follow.
Well established modules including CRM, Reporting, and Distribution are set to receive new and improved functionality as well. Also in the near future, smaller, but no less important, updates will be released for Financials, FREE, Supply Chain, HR, Payroll and Workflow, as well as new functionality for a number of eModules.
In the longer term we can look forward to new functionality in the Job Cost and Reporting arenas, as well as Manufacturing.
So as you can see, Greentree has plenty in store - stayed turned to future editions of Switched On as we bring you details of all the releases as they happen.
Already Released - Window's Explorer Integration
 As the reliance on electronic documents has increased, so too has the importance of cross referencing of critical documents with your business system. Storing a spreadsheet with calculations to support a General Ledger journal entry or filing a scanned letter received from a supplier can be very useful.
Greentree's new filing tool lets you drag and drop' any file from windows onto the new Greentree filing icon and the file is automatically attached to the relevant record within Greentree. You can even right click in explorer and send to' Greentree to attach any file to a record within Greentree.You don't even need to be logged into Greentree to attach files to Greentree records, but password prompting when you drop a file ensures the proper security controls are maintained.
This new feature is available to all sites running Greentree CRM.
