Keyboard Options and Shortcuts in Greentree

If you prefer to use the keyboard instead of a mouse, the following shortcuts are also available:

· Use F9 on any search field (standard or date) within a form to display the drop-down box for selection. You can also use the mouse to do this by clicking on the icon to the right of the field.

· If you press F1 while positioned in a field on a form, a pop-up box will display on screen which contains help text for the specific field.

· If a form has multiple tabs, you can use F6 to move forward to a tab and <Shift F6> to move backwards to a tab. You can also use the mouse to do this by clicking on the tab you want to access.

· You can identify the "active" field on a form as there will be a faint dotted line around the field caption.

· To move to the next field within a form (Greentree has pre-defined field sequences within forms), use the <Tab> key. If your user preferences have the option "Enter key acts as TAB" = true, you can also use the <Enter> key to move to the next field. If you are working in a table on a form, use the <Enter> key to move to the next column in the table.

· To move back to the previous field within a form, press the <Shift> and <Tab> keys together (or the <Shift> and <Enter> keys together if you are using enter as tab. If you are working in a table on a form, press <Shift> and <Enter> to move to the previous column in the table.

· You can also use <Shift F7> to go back to 1st record.

· To select an option in a checkbox (ie. where a tick is required), position to the checkbox field (the text associated with the option will have a faint dotted line around it), and press the Spacebar to tick or untick the option.
