Addax's FRG product has been adopted by other Greentree resellers, and customers all over Australia are reaping the benefits from this handy tool. We are really excited about this product and the potential it has to save you time and effort in your financial reporting and just in time for the end of financial year, we are excited to announce some new functionality to make your report generation even easier.
 A quick recap - what is FRG?
Addax's FRG (Financial Report Generator) is a time-saving tool for generating new Financial reports utilising Greentree’s Excel Add-in functionality.
FRG is all about generating P&L and Balance Sheet reports. FRG will combine a column template with a General Ledger master file tree to produce a report comparable to a manually defined report containing Greentree’s FREE formulae but without the effort.
So what's new?
Addax is excited to announce some new functionality for FRG, including:
- Bulk processing of groups of reports
- Emailing reports
- Wild cards for filtering accounts
- Print formatting in the template
Bulk processing
Groups can be defined and processed in bulk (see below)
Emailing reports
Email addresses can be defined against Groups as well as against individual reports. If the recipient does not have access to Greentree, the setting to ‘change to values’ can be used to ensure FREE functions are stripped off from the output.
Wild card filtering
Filtering by character within a segment is done by using ‘?’ instead of ‘*’. In the example shown, any accounts starting with a ‘9’ in the middle segment will be brought into the report.
Print formatting
Print formatting such as ‘Orientation’, ‘Row & Column titles’ and ‘Adjust to%’ are now carried across to the output report.
Save Time
Whether you undertake the task yourself or outsource to Addax, the initial design of a report layout is a time-consuming exercise - taking up to 10 hours to complete... plus the aggravation of having to tinker with these reports each time a new GL account is added.
The Financial Report Generator eliminates much of this manual effort - with FRG the effort is replaced with a single button push and a few minutes of processing for each report. In addition, FRG reports can be re-generated as required, ensuring that as new accounts are added to the General Ledger in Greentree, the Excel based report is kept updated.
